The Iowa Community Theatre Association recognizes the challenges faced by public institutions and organizations in light of the current novel coronavirus (COVID-19). In light of the recent news and the rapidly changing environment, we must be proactive.
At this time, Convention 2020 is cancelled, along with any other scheduled events of the Iowa Community Theatre Association.
We hope to reschedule Convention 2020, including the Awards of Excellence Gala, for sometime later in Summer 2020. While the format may change, please know that we will do our best to maintain a high-quality, valuable event for our members and friends. At this time, we are adopting an “observe and evaluate” approach before selecting a new date for these events.
For those of you who have registered, we will begin processing refunds for your registration fees beginning Tuesday, March 17th. Your refund will be a check mailed to the address you have on file for your registration. If you were registered as part of a group, the person who made the registration on your behalf will receive the refund at their registered address.
In this time of uncertainty for all arts organizations, including theatres, the Iowa Community Theatre Association is establishing the Iowa Theatre Crisis Relief Fund to help defray the costs incurred by cancelled shows or decreased attendance in this and other crises. If you would like to contribute to this fund, or direct your registration fees to it in lieu of a refund, please contact our Board President at the email address below. ICTA is an IRS 501(c)3 organization, and your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Thank you for your understanding.
