Workshop Options:

Workshop 1: If you give ‘em time to sit, you give ‘em time to b*%$#!

Presented by Bill Anderson, Jr.

As a director of a community theatre production, especially a musical, you are charged with not only herding all the cats and leading a great production…but you also want to make sure that all of your volunteers are having a fulfilling and memorable experience while you’re at it. How do you keep all of these plates spinning? Join Bill and your fellow IowaFest participants as we discuss best practices and share resources for casting, rehearsal schedules and maximizing the use of your cast members in your musical.

Workshop 2: Directing – What is your style?

Presented by Allen Ebert

This workshop is great for first time and long-time directors.  This workshop will focus on the process and amplify who you are as a director.  This workshop will operate as some sharing and lots of Q and A so bring your burning questions!

Workshop 3: Developing the Character

Presented by Nancy Eppert

Every role offers new opportunities and challenges in bringing life to the stage. This workshop will explore techniques through analysis of the script and self to create a fully developed character.
