Convention Host Application

ICTA is taking application for host site for Convention 2020, which will be held on EITHER March 27-29, 2020 OR April 3-5, 2020. Be sure to indicate in your application which dates you are applying to host. All application are due before January 1, 2019.

Please note: The host site will provide space and volunteer support for Convention functions. ICTA Board will plan, coordinate, and deliver Convention content. All publicity, communication, and registration will be handled by ICTA. Host facility will be reimbursed for pre-approved expenses incurred by the host theater, such as snacks, any meals included, Awards Gala refreshments.

The ICTA Events committee will select a site and an alternate site. Final decision will be made by the ICTA Board of Directors and host site will be notified before March 1, 2019.

Describe the facilities you have available to use for Convention.
Include information on space for:
-workshops (how many con-current sessions with how many attending each)
-Annual Meeting (meeting space for 50-60 people)
-Awards Gala (up to 80 people, can be off site. If off site, is there are rental fee?)
-Stage venue for possible guest production (seats how many)
-Possible on-site meal service (kitchen facility, seating for how many)

Describe lodging available in your community. How many hotel/motel rooms do you have nearby? Are there any alternate lodging facilities for small groups? (camps/cabins, bed & breakfasts) Will there be any discounts available for lodging to ICTA members?

How many restaurants do you have nearby to accommodate participants? How many within 1 mile of the venue? (Is there a range of prices, some accommodations for food allergies/special diets)

Describe volunteer support you have for hosting the duration of Convention? (Will there be people to help set up/cleanup, lock/unlock building, guide, usher, assist with tech, etc. if needed)

Do you have the support of your city government, convention/visitors' bureau, Chamber of Commerce?

Describe any points of interest in your community/area (historical sites, shopping)
