Awards of Excellence Artists’ Application

2019 and 2020 SEASON

Every year the ICTA reviews productions from across the state of Iowa that have been submitted for review by their Community Theater company. The Community Theater must be a active member of the ICTA in order to have their show reviewed for the ICTA Awards of Excellence. At the end of each season (January 1^st through December 31^st) the top five nominees in each category are announced and at the Annual Gala the top five are celebrated and an over winner in each category (19 different categories) is announced and provided an award for that specific category. For the last several years the awards have been hand-blown glass goblets that either the representing Community Theater or individual gets to take home and display. The ICTA Board has decided to change the award every two years to celebrate local Iowa artists.

Applications for the 2019 and 2020 Season Artist for the AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE will be accepted until Thursday, October 31^st at 12:00pm. Interested Artists need to submit the following application via the form below no later than 10/31/2019 at 12:00pm.

The named Artist will create 20 awards for the 2019 season and 20 awards for the 2020 season. The awards will need to be completed on or before February 29, 2020 for the 2019 season, and on or before February 28, 2021 for the 2020 season. The selected artist will be paid for the awards when the awards are picked up and inspected by an ICTA Board Member on or before March 15^th of the respective year.

The selected Artist must reside in the State of Iowa at the time of the application submission. The selected Artist must create their artwork for $25 dollars or less per award.

The ICTA Board Members will review the applications submitted and contact the selected Artist on or before December 1^st for the 2019 season. The selected Artist must agree that they can complete the 20 needed awards by 2-29-2020.

The selected Artist will have their artwork and name recognized in the Center Stage Newsletter for the ICTA members, on the ICTA Facebook page and website. The selected Artist name and awards will also be provided to all active ICTA Community Theater Members in the State of Iowa to display the selected Artist and awards as they see deem appropriate. The selected Artist will also be invited to the Gala each year (usually at the end of March) to be recognized. The selected Artist will have two seasons to display their artwork as the award for the AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE.

• I will be notified the ICTA Board of Director’s decision on, or before 12-1-2019.
• I will create 20 awards for the 2019 season and have them ready on or before 2-29-2020 for the 2019 Season
• I will be paid for the 20 awards at the time of pick-up after inspection by an ICTA Board Member on or before 3-15-2020 for the 2019 Season
• I will create 20 awards for the 2020 season and have them ready on or before 2-28-2021 for the 2020 Season
• I will be paid for the 20 awards at the time of pick-up after inspection by an ICTA Board Member on or before 3-15-2021 for the 2020 Season
• I will have my name and artwork showcased in the Center Stage Newsletter and Website.
• I will be invited to the ICTA Gala for the 2019 and 2020 Season
• As the 2019/2020 Artist for the AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE I will not be eligible for the 2021/2022 Season, but I can resubmit an application for the 2023/2024 Season.
• The estimated cost I submit and agreed upon by the ICTA Board of Directors will be the cost per item for the 2019 AND 2020 season.
